I have a question for #Parasite director Bong Joon Ho.

I am wondering about his choice of appropriating Native imagery.

I wonder if it was a purposeful message.

As a courtesy, if you have not seen Parasite, there are minor spoilers ahead in my #thread.
In #Parasite, there are two families, one is a poor family struggling to make ends meet, they resort to fraudulently posing as potential employees to get a job with a rich family.

The mother of the rich family buys everything Native-related for her young Boy Scout son.
I won't go into details of the #Parasite film - but at one point, after an entire community is recovering from a disaster, the rich family has a Native-themed party.

Thus, the image I shared.
The father of the poor family, who frauded himself to the rich family, is asked to be a fighting Indian against the son dressed as an Indian.

He pauses, internally disturbed.

The rich family doesn't hesitate to appropriate Native culture.
So I ask your thoughts.

Who is the real parasite?

Those stealing money?
Those stealing culture?
Or both?

I'd love to know your thoughts about #Parasite.
All said, as an #Oscars contender there are millions of eyes on this film.

I fear the intention to show any harm against Native culture or of #NativeAppropriation might be lost or not even considered in this #Parasite movie by many viewers.

I was admittedly disturbed by it.
