I swear there are Bernie Sanders supporters on here who won't know what to do if he wins the primary because for them the appeal is being angry if he doesn't. They're expecting to be smug and mad forever. Their dream is another term for Trump and a lifetime of "I warned you!!!"
You go to their timelines and there's nothing about what they're going to do after the convention, nothing about what they're going to do if he's elected, but tweet after tweet, reply after reply promising blood and thunder if he's "cheated".
These tweets are not about Bernie Sanders and if they don't describe you then they're not about you. Does every candidate have an organized group of "supporters" openly masturbating about how they're going to burn the republic in a fit of pique if/when they don't get their way?
People tell me every candidate has fans "like this" and I honestly don't see it. Not bad fans. Not jerk fans. Not overzealous fans.
There was the "PUMA" (Party Unity My Ass) thing in 2008 among some Clinton fans and yes, that also sucked. But in 2016? There was a little bit of it from the "Yang Gang", maybe.
Anyway.

I tweet about this because when I see one of Bernie's "bad supporter that everyone has" attacking someone and I follow back to their timeline, it's frequently just full-on negative and not a hint of hope for the future.

And I find that remarkable.
I have absolutely seen trash supporters for every candidate. I have not found this phenomenon to hold true for any of them, though. Haven't seen the same democratic murder-suicide pacts, the same talk of retribution, of fealty, etc.
I think there are angry young white men who have attached themselves to this candidate in order to have something to angry young white man about while feeling "good" and "progressive".

Don't know that they're numerous enough to sway an election...
...but they're numerous enough to matter if you're, for instance, a woman supporting another candidate.
Some people would rather have a battle than fight the fight. Why do I tweet about it? I think it's worth pointing out. I don't know, maybe it's not. I don't actually-factually feel like I've accomplished something besides letting off steam.
