CONFIRMED. James Lankford is gone and replaced with Ben Sasse.

Lankford is a preacher. Scuttlebutt is he couldn't/wouldn't go along with the corruption/fibbing needed for current SSCI needs.

So he quit.

McConnell replaced with someone who would fulfill the agenda of the SSCI.... enter Ben Sasse.

There is an argument to be made... the corporate leaders of many multinationals are not best positioned to lead their organizations as a new era of nationalist/populist economic policy (deglobalization) takes place.

Structural "Deglobalization" is very real. Happening right now.
Wall St. and Main St. used to work together. However, over 30 years they separated. Wall St. went multinational.

I wrote this about four years ago trying to forecast/explain where we would likely be today.

This is well worth watching because El-Erian was the first well-regarded financial pundit to catch on (Aug 2019) and speak truth to Wall Street in terms panel pundits would understand/accept.

Folks, these officials are not thinking clearly. This is going to make things worse... (maybe that's their goal) Panic is going to increase exponentially. Here's why....
For the past 20 years it has been measured that supermarket growth was -30% as more and more Americans ate at restaurants. The growth in the "dining out", or food consumed outside the home, sector was the cause.
Imagine the rush on Illinois supermarkets now, if there is no other option.

If you think food panic is a problem right now... Imagine what will follow if supermarkets are the *only* option.

It depends on: (a) the quality of the supply chain by the retail outlet; and (b) if they use proprietary warehousing and distribution, or rely on brokers or third parties.

If the retailer owns/operates their own supply chain, replenishment will be much faster and responsive.
A fragmented trucking landscape, driver shortages and rising insurance rates are just a few of the pressures of the industry.

To the extent the retailer controls their own warehousing, trucking and delivery system, their replenishment will be much better.
Wal-Mart and Costco are the two best supply chains on a national basis.

HEB and Publix are the two best supermarket supply chains.
