1. Be fully committed. Be sure about what you want. Don’t be a waffler. Be ready to take and give orders.
3. Don’t steal. Don’t do anything you couldn’t take a polygraph test over. Don’t take free stuff unless you know where it’s from; often free goodies are in exchange for something
5. Never make excuses or blame others
6. Lazy, sloppy and slow are bad
8. Assume the worst. But don’t let it affect your performance. Let it roll off your back.
9. Try not to lie
11. Read! And I don’t mean medical journals only. Read the history of medicine. Read non-medical books.
Lastly, and perhaps my favorite.
12. Have a sense of humor.
