Horowitz’s report yesterday for all time revealed what it was supposed to reveal, exactly as the President said:

1) Former federal officials perpetuated a hoax in the FISA Court

2) They got caught

3) Hoax consisted of withholding real evidence while using fake evidence
Because Horowitz uses administrative-speak to say “They got caught faking their probable cause to spy on the Trump campaign for being compromised by the Russians” you have people claiming to you that’s NOT what the report says.
Well Trump doesn’t use administrative-speak. He’s a blunt guy in his language.

He can bluntly say “they got caught” trying to “overthrow the government” and Horowitz is CLEARLY revealing this.

And he is correct.

Now that the Supreme Court has run away from partisan gerrymandering, it’s time to fight on a state-by-state basis.

Here’s a long list of actions for individual states. I’ll add to it as more ideas come up.

First, the categories of actions you can take:
1) Ballot-initiative process: push for independent commissions.

2) Friendly state courts: file lawsuits.

3) Public-comment period on redistricting: use it in 2021 to speak for your community of interest. Use data to analyze/offer maps.

4) Everywhere: write your paper.
5) Disrupt single-party control by flipping a legislature or breaking its supermajority.

6) Support local reformers: Common Cause, League of Women Voters, or local organizations.

7) Everywhere: help gather data & become a redistricting tech maven! OpenPrecincts.org

Hearing many exaggerations these days. So, here an attempt to put things into perspective: (1) yes, (s)election of new #EU leadership involves power politics in #EP & #EUCO & between them, but that's how politics & democracy function – at all levels incl. #EU – get used to it;
(2) yes, #Spitzenkandidaten process not perfect, but it is here to stay although it needs to be reformed before 2024 #EP elections (incl. introduction of #TransnationalList) – 2019 experience should provide lessons to everyone (including European & national political parties);
(3) yes, #EP increasingly runs risk of being sidelined in leadership (s)election process, but majority in Parliament can still agree on common candidate for COM-P, who has a chance to be nominated by #EUCO;
