A guy messaged me to say “I always spoked sense” & if I remembered him from school

Strangely, I did because he was 1 of the racist bullies I had to face

I wrote back with thanks for helping me become the man I am - one that stands up to bullies like him

He apologised 40 yrs on
I forgave him
He was a child too
Hate is learnt behaviour, you do not hate when you are born
I told him how I felt, how scared I was, how I often cried to my sleep
How I lied to my mum and dad to cover it up
How nobody came to my rescue, ever
How I always will
Thank you to all of you for your kind words
Especially the one who reminds me that everyone that abused me, belittled me, hurt me
They may have SHAPED me, but none of them DEFINED me

Amost convinced his outer-shell was a front for operation he helped orchestrate. He built global connections, got close, but NOT TOO close, and placed spies and sleeper agents everywhere.

Apparently, I never knew we have more than 5 Locally packaged Rice in Nigeria until yesterday and that alone makes it interesting.
