The @thedailybeast reporter who broke the story of a Bernie surrogate running a private account attacking Dem candidates is now being harassed. More since the story broke has been fired. This level of harassment towards press in America is outrageous. Banana republic level

@BernieSanders needs to collect his supporters. Now they are putting a google map/address of the reporter for accurately reporting a story/updating it w the surrogate getting fired. America is becoming unbearable for journalists to report facts. Everything to shut down the truth

This is exactly what Putin does.I sound like a broken record but anything that endangers Putins image he censors. These people have zero regard for human life and their only concern is full hold on power
The reason I always compare Trumps actions w Russia is because I know Russia very well and see the writing on the wall. This is why I got alarmed in 2015 and have been screaming into the wind since then. Unfortunately I know how Putins mafia state operates. We are getting there
We cannot and will not let them censor information that is vital to protecting people. We need to call House and Senate Republicans and tell them to stop censoring critically important information which will save lives

Russia-Turkey are on the verge of war. 22 Turkish soldiers were killed with some reports being higher after reports that Russian forces fired on Turkish soldiers in Idlib. There is also an unconfirmed report that Turkey has told the Russian ambassador to leave. Will update
Turkish FM held a call with NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg and russian media is also reporting that Turkish army is firing at Russian planes in Syria

Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov living in Poland survived an attempted assassination in his home. He overtook the attacker and filmed part of the attack. Most recently GRU Russian Intel was behind an attack in Germany. Also another Chechen blogger was murdered in France

So a guy working hard for the Bernie campaign had a PRIVATE account where he made jokes about the other candidates and shitposts, the media digs it up, writes a faux-outrage article on it, and the dude gets fired. I hate this shit. I feel terrible for Ben. The left needs a spine.
Bad faith smear merchants are unappeasable. You give them an inch, they'll take a foot. You validate their witch hunt by taking them seriously. They'll never give you credit or stop. They simply don't like you, this is divide and conquer. Brush them off and move on. Nobody cares.
Imagine the media digging up the personal accounts of Warren or Pete supporters & forcing the campaign to fire them? Policing jokes of staffers is clearly bad faith, it's stunning & reeks of desperation. It's also the living embodiment of the RW caricature of the snowflake left.

My husband @peterdaou and I proudly support #Bernie's #NotMeUs movement because it is a massive, diverse working class progressive movement that centers marginalized voices in the fight to overhaul the oppressive systems destroying our country.

Does that offend you?
Are you threatened in some way by long-silenced marginalized voices who are now being lifted up and centered?

Do you benefit in some way from the system remaining exactly as it is?

If so, own it. If not, join us.
Do you believe the false media narrative that the #NotMeUs movement is not for you? That it's only a bunch of "angry, young white males" following an "old white guy."

Using the term "Bernie bro" erases the millions of #Bernie supporters who are not young, white or male.

allow me to explain:

first thing to realize is that compromise usually involved splitting the difference (e.g. arbitration -- if you've ever been privy, you know exactly what i mean).

next you need to understate that starting positions matter
now we come to the republicans..

they know to start out WAY to the right of anything sane

democrats, being slightly more reasonable tend to open with somthing they thing will win the other side over to their POV.

... it ... will ... not ....

so this happens.
after a few years of this (say since 1980) you end up with both parties being FAR to the right of anything that a rational person would consider CENTER

enter #bernie sanders and his populist, moderate policy positions like #medicareforall or raising the minimum wage
