Interesting things about China.

Did you know they joined the WTO (at the behest of USA) in December, 2001? 3 months after 9/11?

Not linking anything, but interesting timing - we kind of had a lot going on.
Bill Clinton started his presidency in 1992 by linking renewal of China's WTO "Most Favored Nation" status (meaning the US had to give China any concession we gave any other trade partner) with 7 human rights requirements.

But Bill rescinded that requirement a year later.

$$$
I wonder if his 1996 re-election campaign scandal showing that Chinese intelligence agents were illegally funneling money to Bill Clinton's re-election campaign had anything to do with his reversal:

Nothing much came of the scandal & investigation, largely because of the media's role in covering it up (by providing minimal airtime or resources - the polar opposite of how they reacted to RussiaGate).
Even though it was discovered that at least some (likely much) of the money came directly from Chinese intelligence hoping to have Bill Clinton stay in the White House.

Gee, I wonder why they liked Bill so much.
Even Morning Moscow Mika admitted the media covered far too often for the Clinton Crime Syndicate.
This is a common, obfuscating argument we see from economists / foreign affairs experts re: China:
"If we hadn't allowed into WTO & given MFN status, they would have done so w/ our competitors...."
This completely obfuscates the fact that American tax dollars took China from a 3rd world nation to an economic powerhouse.

It was those American tax $'s they used to fund their SOEs (State Owned Enterprises) that we were competing with, subsidized by us

The horse shit in this statement is so deep that we'd need a bulldozer to shovel out of it.

"...proof that China is complying with WTO requirements."
More proof (as if we needed it) that Bill Clinton was either a bumbling moron or corrupt Chinese puppet.

Bill was a Rhodes scholar, so we know it's not option 1.

From this Atlantic article:

theatlantic.com/international/…
It should be noted that Bill said nearly the same exact thing about NAFTA, which pushed 700,000 high-paying US manufacturing jobs into Mexico.

I guess that makes Bill an equal-opportunity puppet, for sale to the highest bidder.
"For many in the Trump administration...the decision to bring China into the WTO sold average Americans out to U.S. political and business elites."

Exactamundo.
Another major point of obfuscation: they'll talk about the reasons China became an economic powerhouse, but leave out the root-cause: American taxpayer dollars flowing to them in rivers.
This is just another form of China's Multi-Domain, Political Guerilla warfare against the US.

They (CCP) own the banks who give low-interest loans to their CCP companies (SOEs), subsidizing them to offer products cheaper than USA.

Economic warfare. Funded by our tax dollars.
While US Presidents, think tanks & academics told us China would "liberalize & capitalize their economy" after WTO admission, they did exactly the opposite.

Yet those same intellectuals in the US kept pushing the same narrative, despite evidence to the contrary.
*I really didn't intend to tweet this research as I'm going through it, but some of it just makes me so damn angry that I wish more Americans understood.

This is all research for a couple of articles I'm working on & my next book, so I may add more to this thread now & again
