But the data suggest pols hype for political gain. The last last clear-cut case of lynching in the U.S. was in 1981.

1. Not that it wasn’t expected, but media coverage after South Carolina is a real disservice.

It’s partly their horse race coverage model, part bias/corruption and part just good old fashion stupidity/ignorance.

Here’s the real state of the race after Joe Biden’s expected win.
2. Joe Biden’s Coalition is still not a minority coalition and it isn’t even a Black Democrat Coalition.

It is a Southern Black Democrat Coalition.

Bernie Sander has done very well among Black Democrats NOT in the South, including just behind Biden in Nevada.

3. By Super Tuesday, Bernie Sanders is going to have wins in the West, Midwest, and Northeast.

Joe Biden will have outsized wins in the South, the region of the country and Electoral Map in which the nominee will have no chance to win come November.

When we poll, we exclude deceased and recent movers. That is a default for us, and should be for every pollster.

However, I just checked. They represent roughly 1.5M in California.

The House just passed the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, a bill to make lynching a federal crime, with a vote of 410-4.

The members who voted against it:
-Justin Amash
-Thomas Massie
-Louie Gohmert
-Ted Yoho
For a decent amount of time during the vote, there were 9 no's. @ckmarie and I watched in the chamber as several of those members slowly changed their votes to yeses as the vote went on: Paul Gosar, Chip Roy, Andy Biggs, Ralph Norman, and at the last minute, Steve King.
@ckmarie Yoho tells @mkraju just now that he opposed it because he believes it’s an “overreach of the federal government” and would infringe on states' rights.

The antilynching bill was first unanimously passed by Senate as Justice for Victims of Lynching Act last February. House amended and passed the bill as Emmett Till Antilynching Act today 410-4. Revised bill now heads back to Senate for a final vote before sending it onto the WH.

And between extortion and bribery, emphasize extortion.

Why extortion? Because extortion lets you tell a compelling story with a bad guy & a victim.

First, here’s how I would describe Trump’s misconduct: Trump threatened to cancel 400 mill in military aid unless Ukraine agreed to smear Biden.

That’s extortion, and it's a story that we want to be telling.
Here’s the key elements of a classic story about extortion:

(1) A malicious bad guy with a lot of power
(2) Making a threat
(3) To force a vulnerable victim to do something he doesn’t want to do
