There’s been a lot of talk about Warren vs. Sanders, & in an election this high stakes, it’s very important to discuss what makes Sanders & Warren different. They may have similarities, but who actually is the more progressive candidate?

(THREAD)
Let’s start with numbers before we get into politics; No matter who you prefer, these polls show that as of today, Sanders has statistically a better chance of beating Trump than Warren, with Warren temporarily faltering behind Trump for almost an entire month. So why is that? A poll from Real Clear Politics showing that between Sanders & Trump, Sanders has always been in the lead by a wide margin.A poll from Real Clear Politics showing that between Warren & Trump, Warren lead in a wide margin until the beginning of this year, which she would have lost to Trump if an election were to happen that month. Now she leads by a very small margin.A poll from Emerson Polling from Feb 16-18 showing that Sanders is the only candidate that'd beat trump.
For one thing, Bernie’s track record has been more consistent than Warren’s, who was a registered republican until she was 46, even speaking at a meeting of the conservative Federalist Society in 1991 while Bernie has repeated the same progressive talking points as early as 1976. An article about warren that highlights the line A screencap of a youtube video of Warren speaking at a Federalist Society meeting in the 90's.A picture of Bernie Sanders getting arrested for peacefully protesting when he was 21.An NPR article comparing Sanders' talking points on the 1%. In speeches & interviews from 1976, 1991, & 2015, he mentions
Currently, In terms of domestic policy, the main difference between Warren’s & Sanders’ childcare & student debt forgiveness programs is that Bernie’s plans are universal to all without any hoops to jump through. The difference in cost is paid for through a higher wealth tax. Graphs of Sanders, Warrens, & Bloombergs wealth tax. Sanders' wealth taxes are much higher, taxing people with 10.1 billion dollars upwards of 8%. Warren taxes people in the same tax bracket only 3%, while Bloomberg doesn't tax them anything.A more visual graph showing the exact same statistics, but without Bloomberg.
Bernie & Warren are both well known for being harsh on billionaires, but Elizabeth Warren not only is quoted as saying billionaires should exist, but also has 6 billionaire donors, while Sanders returned the only donation from a billionaire that his campaign ever received. Interviewer: Bernie Sanders says there should be no billionaires. Do you agree with that?<br />

Warren: No. If someone has a great idea, & they follow it through, & they work hard & they build something, good for them.A forbes article detailing that Warren has gotten 60 million dollars from 6 billionaire donors total, include Craig Newmark, Steven Rales, & Chris & Crystal Sacca.A forbes article titled
Alongside Warren taking billionaire donations, she has also taken $9 million of Super PAC money from Persist PAC, despite saying she would never take PAC money in this tweet from Feb 2019:
Here is a clip of Sanders all the way back in 1988 saying “in my view, a woman could be president,” directly contradicting Warren’s claim that he doesn’t support the idea.
Amongst minorities, Sanders currently leads with 28% of nonwhite voters, & 34% of out LGBTQ+ voters. An article from Newsweek titled A bar graph detailing that Sanders has 34% of the LGBTQ+ vote, with Warren behind him at 19%.
On Foreign Policy, Sanders has not voted for any of Trump's military budget increases, has condemned the right wing coup in Bolivia, & has promised to consider reversing Trump’s moving the US embassy to Israel, while Warren, like all other leading candidates w/ delegates, has not
Let’s go back to the numbers.

As of today, Sanders is leading with a polling average of 29.5%, with Biden far behind him at 18.4%. Warren, meanwhile, is currently 4th in the polls, behind Bloomberg, with 12.1%. Line graph showing Sanders surpassing everybody over time.
I've heard many arguments for Sanders & Warren, as I've had people in my life who have supported one over the other. In 2016, not only did I hope Warren would run, I also supported her being Bernie’s possible VP if he got the nomination. THAT BEING SAID,
Bernie
-is leading in many polls
-has the most delegates thus far
-is the only candidate that doesn’t take money from billionaires or super PACs
-has more progressive policy, foreign & domestic

No other candidate can say that.
It’s okay if you have critiques of Sanders or the office of the presidency in general, I have them too. That does not change that Bernie is the most progressive candidate we have. This could very well lead to something much greater, powered not just by Sanders, but by all of us.
Sanders is the clear front runner w/ the most diverse coalition of supporters. He has unparalleled grass roots support & is the best situated to beat Donald Trump this November. As @ninaturner said, "Why settle for the copy when you can have the original?”

#WarrenendorseBernie no matter what you think of Warren she’s objectively not doing well in the polls. She’s losing to Bloomberg. She could very well get a lucrative cabinet position under a Sanders presidency. It’d be the right move.
