That works in school.
That doesn't work in the real world.
You'll keep wondering why time is flying by & you got little to show for it.
Begin & connect the dots after
-Perfectionism will never get you finished.
Your job is not to get it perfect & make it live.
Your job is to make it live & then perfect
Chase perfection, you begin to become more mindful of small moves.
And see rapid progres..
'But wait! I thought perfection isn't possible??'
It isn't.
And if the mind doesn't tell the brain what to do... then the brain takes charge.
No bueno.
'Why no bueno?'
Because the brain is sporadic & operates on the past.
If you give the brain all the power, it'll just over think
But only if you direct it.
If you direct it too much towards yourself, then your ego may get the best of you.
That's why people overthink & are afraid of making mistakes
And this causes them to over-analyze.
Strive for perfection.
And get nothing done
The spiritual side.
This side gets us out of our ego alone & aims for us to provide value for the world.
The spiritual side is that part of us which wants too keep on growing even when it looks like we have achieved a lot
Your divine side is perfect & wanting to be expressed.
And the only way you can get closer to that side is by constantly trying, failing, getting up, learning repeating etc.
The process
It's not something that you are going to reach on Tuesday of a man-made date.
It's an endless path.
Not a mountain top.
It's a grand goal that forces you to keep moving.
And eventually this grand goal begins to alter your movements more rapidly vs if you were to set a mediocre goal
Your brain cannot distinguish between real & fake.
The imagination seems like real data points to the electronic circuit switching brain
In this lifelong path that you are walking forward on....
You stop when you are not forcing yourself to take action
The problem is some people overthink & think they are actually working!
They mistake consuming for producing
Producing = Outputting action
Don't confuse the 2.
You live in the information age, so finding the information won't be hard.
The main goal is to look for patterns.
Repeated concepts = Fundamentals
Practice the fundamentals.
Example:
-Consuming: you watched videos on how to set up a podcast.
-Production: buy the equipment & record episodes
That's when they become unaware of the time that's passing by.
Just begin recording the episodes.
It'll be sloppy, but just keep at it
You'll notice weak spots in your game.
You'll be much more specified of what matters and what is just noise.
This gets you more involved in the act.
And your unlocked new paradigms vs consuming alone.
This is what allows you to put your personality into a skillset.
Allow your God Side, Divine Side, Super Ego to come out in the task.
Turn of the logical chatter.
Practice with MINDFULNESS
-But the world bends for those who put in the quantity (reps) to WILL themselves into quality.
They ain't taking no for an answer
Be the latter
They are too worried about their mistakes.
Unless you can fly or hurt their ego directly, you're not consuming their mind
Once you master a task, its much easier to master another task.
And another......
The lifelong journey just gets fun from there.
