My primary motivation right now is to keep US government free from
- pedophiles
- pedophile enablers (direct, financial, or other)
- those who dote on foreign demagogues

That leaves only two viable candidates for the Dem nomination:

Liz Warren + Joe Biden.

And Bernie? It's more indirect, but his wife Jane agreed to "pay" $4M over market value to the Vermont Roman Catholic Diocese for an abandoned orphanage - taking a direct $4M loan from the Church as they were negotiating settlements with victims of sexual abuse.

While the former is sketchy enough, if you read through the interviews with Richard Gates in the newest batch of Mueller investigation 302s, that's a way for the lender to hide assets.

Don't forget: both Gates and Manafort worked with Tad DeVine, Bernie's campaign manager in 2015.

But... the property sale was in 2010, and she quit in 2011...

Ah. DeVine also worked Sanders' 2006 campaign.

While he worked with Manafort.

So, yeah. Those connections were there.

The school had to go out of business in 2016. The federal investigation, opened on the predicate information provided by Victoria Toensing's son, it seems, was never officially closed within DOJ.

So, at best, this links Sanders -via his wife to enabling the Church's ability to lock ~$4M in assets away from the victims of childhood sexual assault... and at worst, there's more info that directly shows Sanders directly culpable for participating...

and with a case that was never deemed officially closed, charges could be dropped against the Sanders family as soon as the Democratic convention delegates cast their votes.

Even if it's not criminal, hiding money from settlement negotiations over sexual assault is wrong...

And Trump showed us in 2016 how far he can go in incriminating an opponent based on the actions of their spouse.

We need a candidate who doesn't have baggage linked to child sexual assault to run against someone who needs a whole cargo airline to transport his.

And aside from Gabbard's Modi-Assad-Russo-sympathy, her family were disciples of the guy who think women have dogs for bestiality, and sent her to a school run by his followers in the Philippines.

( always beware projection at the hands of a leader ).

So. Neither Biden nor Warren are perfect in every way...

But, AFAICT, they're the only candidates who don't fall into suborning pedophilia or subscribing to some freakish leader fetishism.

And I've looked.

The left needs the unquestionable high ground when it comes to addressing child sexual abuse.

No matter what you think about Biden's touchy-feely awkwardness, it's gone - gone the way of the dinosaur in 2020, coronavirus will reinforce his expressed willingness to reign it in.

And in comparison to someone who traded teenage girls with his friends, someone who enabled the above to accumulate wealth to continue trading teen girls, or someone whose wife helped hide millions from victims of sexual assault at the hands of a global institution:

@JoeBiden and @ewarren are the only two candidates in the race that can righteously wield Trump's active, personal participation in child sex trafficking as a weapon against him in the 2020 general election.

Period.
