Across the board, Sanders has performed below his primary polls in 2016. #Supertuesday
For those arguing 16' was a two person field so this comparison isn't apt. Consider, Sanders performed better against HRC who was a stronger candidate than anybody in 2020. The only competition in his 2020 lane is Warren but that doesn't explain drops this steep across the board
Look at Maine thus far tonight. Even if you combine all of Sanders & Warren voters (as of 11:43 p.m.), he's at around 50% which is 14% lower than 2016. No matter how you spin it, Sanders hasn't grown his base from 2016 despite a 4 year head start.
