My understanding, based on things President Trump has said over the last several years, is that the president is personally and uniquely responsible for how the stock market performs.

(This is a thing that really happened and was not limited to right-wing media -- the stock market declined in the early months of Obama's tenure because of an ongoing financial crisis, and people started calling it the "Obama bear market")

I really can't get over how some people in the Trumpist media are showing themselves as absolute pieces of shit who don't care if their audience gets killed as long as they can defend the president or make a buck.
