99% reporting in Texas, and Bloomberg just had a late surge which has made him viable for statewide delegates
If Bloomberg stays over 15 percent, that would chop Biden's delegate edge over Sanders by about 20.
Good news for Biden, the final batch of precincts coming in from Texas have pushed Bloomberg below 15% again.

Bernie Sanders at his campaign HQ in Vermont says the Democratic race is now all about "which side you are on"
Sanders says Biden is "heavily supported by the corporate establishment," funded by the 'wealthy and the powerful.'

Sanders also keeps talking about the Democratic campaign "in the months ahead."
Sanders says he will press Biden to explain a series of votes that he took in the Senate.

Of course, it should be noted that Biden has not been in the Senate in over 11 years.

The biggest surprise of Super Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Joe Biden wins Democratic presidential primary in Texas, taking Super Tuesday's second biggest prize.
BLOOMBERG has now dropped to the delegate cut off of 15 percent in Texas - he's on the verge of losing statewide delegates, which would go to Biden and Sanders instead.
With 90 percent reporting in Texas, BLOOMBERG is now under the 15 percent statewide threshold for delegates

Obviously the trends here are good for Biden. And yet, these polls show him winning every Southern state (usually by much less than Clinton did) and losing every non-Southern state. Results like this tonight would mean a long, closely fought contest

For instance, take TX. Clinton won it by 32 points in 2016. Netted 72 delegates there. That represented about 1/5 of her final pledged delegate edge over Sanders.

Unless there is a *very* dramatic late swing, Biden can't count on getting anything like that.
For fun, I tweaked the 2016 delegate numbers so that:
-Clinton's delegate advantage in the South is cut in half
-Bernie's delegate advantage in caucuses is cut in half
-Bernie, not Clinton, wins CA by 7 points

HRC still wins, but narrowly. She gets a bit over 51% of pledged dels

If the results stay the same--and they very well might not--it seems Buttigieg comes out ahead in pledged delegates, 14 to 12 over Sanders.
If Sanders were to take the lead in SDEs, you'd be back at 13-13
So not only does Sanders do worse in SDEs than votes, he also does worse at converting his SDEs to pledged delegates, since he only leads in one CD: IA-2
Seems like a fitting way to cap this off
The Iowa Democrats decided not to use it. It's not my place to say someone 'won' the Iowa Dems' game by any measure other than the rules they set for it, whatever I may think of those rules

The loan was c. 7/82 and was actually $25K.

Critical point here is that the MSM is claiming that #Sanders "came within a handful of votes" of #HillaryClinton, when he lost in a landslide of 4M votes, 1k pledged delegates (not SDs) and a dozen states.

This false narrative harms #Sanders--it's meant to highlight how badly he's doing in 2020 and prop up #Biden. But Sanders is actually doing better than in 2016. There are just more players. And Biden is being replaced by a younger centrist, #Buttigieg.

Am I in the twilight zone? Do I really need to explain why an older man (in a position of power) putting his hand on the thigh of a 19-year-old who had just talked about being sexually assaulted is WRONG? Especially when she said she squirmed to get his hand away?
