The attacks black women who supported Warren are getting from both Biden & Bernie folks just epitomize the blatant disrespect black women have gotten throughout this primary, from saying Kamala Harris "wasn't black enough" to calling her out for daring to take on Biden. Shameful.
We get it--you chose the white guys over the women. Something something "electability." I often felt I was the only reporter writing positively about Harris, who I'd written about since 2004 & endorsed in Jan 2017. And I supported Ayanna Pressley who's been amazing for Warren.
People have a right to be angry today. Not giving them space for that is not going to win needed votes for whomever you are supporting. Trump is still the enemy. The two man race the MSM wanted is what we have now. Own it, but don't smash it in people's faces. It's unseemly.

My parents, Bernie & Biden are the same age, same generation. My parents were (both died of #cancer, sadly) Socialists. For a while my father was a Communist. They were poor--very poor. Both went to college on scholarships & were Civil Rights workers. I admired them.

My maternal grandmother was my only grandparent to finish high school. The others all had to start working at 8th grade. My parents were dedicated to the Civil Rights Movement. We were stuffing envelopes as pre-schoolers. My parents never left to move to a white enclave.

I understand Bernie is an activist. But my parents, my family, were Civil Rights WORKERS. They never left the movement. They co-founded a Civil Rights group.Our church was all about the movement. Our family's friends were all about the movement. It was their life. Night & day.

I just saw a whole thread from yet another white millennial hipster anti-vaxxer on how no one should take the HPV vaccine because cervical cancer is not a big deal.
ARE YOU PEOPLE HIGH ALL THE TIME ON EDIBLES? Cervical cancer is a leading cause of DEATH for women globally.
The vaccine saves lives because #HPV is the cause of several cancers in women and men. #HPV is a hugely prevelant STI that is easily transmissible and for which there is no cure. You would be out of your mind to not vaccinate your child against cancer.
And men should be arguing for boys to be vaccinated. Given what a prize the penis is in every society, you should want to prevent penile cancer in your kids from #HPV. Also, some anal & throat cancers are caused by HPV and people get them exactly how you think: sex. #vaccinate

I think if you built an amazing business from the ground up as Bloomberg and Bezos have, you are not inherently evil. BUT, in a world where tens of thousands of people die daily from starvation, you must be a major philanthropist like Bloomberg. Bezos is indeed evil.
I honestly don't understand this need to rehabilitate billionaires. Look at how Bezos treats his workers. What is the function of all his obscene wealth when his workers have to pee on the floor because of the way he treats his workers. And what about Ivanka Trump's factories?
We are taught to punch down instead of up. Protecting the ruling classes has been inculcated since feudal times. Being a billionaire is not inherently evil. But when a society prioritizes billionaires when people are hungry and homeless--that is ammoral.

So....in the rust belt states that matter, both Biden & Bernie have said they will limit fracking & sacrifice jobs in the energy sector.

Fact is both are beholden to climate religion. And both would reverse our hard won energy independence.

This all leads to more wars /1
for oil in the Middle East.

You will not replace oil & gas with “clean” energy any time soon. The battery capacity won’t allow it.

One of the best solutions lies in space & space force. Another in quantum computing to solve nuclear fusion.

Yet these two morons want /2
to raise taxes, reduce military spending, nationalize industries & essentially kill those very innovations. Which ALWAYS works best in the private sector or a public/private partnership. GE, IBM and others were integral in getting us to the moon.

What is the good outcome? 🤷‍♀️

Goal is not just electing a particular person (what #NotMeUS is supposed to mean) but building a movement around ideas that win the allegiance of the majority of the population. If we can't do that within Democratic Party, it's delusional to say we can do that nationally. /2
The profound reason for coalitions is recognizing that different groups are often mobilized around different leaders & specific ideas, even when they share many similar goals, and if your leader can't get a majority, you make a coalition to build majority that can win. /3

#Warren said she was Native American & was listed as Harvard's 1st female "professor of color". Test proves she has only 1 NA ancestor 6-10 gens back, evoking outrage over the lie. But #Trump is held to a lower standard of truth because the public knows he lies about EVERYTHING.
Genetic testing shows I am 1% western African. Based on Warren's standard of truth, I could claim to be African-American, giving me preferential minority status and special assistance. She & her team are trying to deal w/ this issue in anticipation of a matchup against Trump.
I've exchanged messages with black family history researchers who have been surprised to find that we are blood relatives. I'm proud to have that DNA connection to Africa, but I don't use it to claim that I'm African American.
