So if you’ve read Marx but not Walter Rodney I’m gonna need you to sit your ass down. Same with WEB DuBois, Manning Marable, Angela Davis, etc for starters. I can count the number of white socialists I’ve met who have read these on two hands. Because ya know...
So too Cedric Robinson and J Sakai... there’s this amazing corpus of POC socialist material that tends to be far more nuanced and deep in its treatment of race than anything white marxists produce, but it’s utterly ignored by simplistic class reductionism
