I have been rigorously campaigning for this petition for the past year and half. The petition now has more than 1 lakh supporters who believe in this cause.
I wish .@Uber_India to respond to my petition and truly drive the change.

More women in the public spaces is without a doubt going to make other women feel safer to travel alone. A female cabbie is sure to allay every women passenger's fear.
Moreover, making the cab driving profession more accessible to women is a big boost towards women empowerment.

Recently in Bengaluru, a young woman, alleged that she was sexually harassed by the Uber cab driver. She said that the driver held her leg before pulling her t-shirtand trying to put his hand inside her top. Just reading this made me squirm with fear and unease.

And this is just one of the many incidents every girl reads, every other day. Of course, I know not all drivers are bad, but how do we know which ones are? How can I be assured of the fact that every time I board a cab alone, I won’t meet with a similar fate?

4 amazing changes that will benefit all of society are sure to be sparked off by cabs by women, for women. They are
1. More demand for cleaner public toilets
2. Better lit roads 
3. Lower crime rate 
4. Gender-friendly RTO and government offices

I have never had the opportunity to travel in a cab driven by a female cabbie, in India.
But the first time I did, was a @Uber cab in Madrid, Spain.
It was my first day in a completely new country, but travelling with her made me feel safe. She made feel comfortable.

Hence, I hope .@Uber_India to gift every women with the opportunity to travel safely in a cabs with female cabbies.
