.@ARKInvest would like to compare notes with Adam Jonas and his team at Morgan Stanley on their concern about EV demand. The concern should be about gas-powered cars. EVs are growing nicely.
Based on original research (which seems rare on the Street these days), the total cost of ownership (TCO) of a $TSLA’s Model 3 is lower than that of the average gas powered vehicle, as shown in ARK’s Sunday newsletter above.
As the average price of an EV moves toward and drops below that of gas powered cars in the next few years, EV demand growth should transition from strong to explosive.

#Uber gaat vandaag naar de beurs. Waarde: $82 miljard.

Dear @Uber_India
I have observed that some Uber Drivers in Pune have the habit of speaking on mobile phones while driving.
Please stop this dangerous practice.
@Uber_Support @Uber

Uber must intruct its drivers not to speak on mobile phones while driving.
They have long personal conversations on mobile phone with friends/relatives throughout the journey.
Request @Uber_India to stop this dangerous practice
@Uber_Support @Uber
#Uber #Pune
It is not the duty of customers to educate Uber Drivers that they must not speak on mobile phones while driving.
Uber must ensure that Uber Drivers follow Road Safety Rules
Uber must train Uber Drivers in Road Safety and Traffic Discipline

Hey @Uber_Support @Uber @Uber_India. Was harassed this morning by my cab driver.

Got into the cab. Spoke loudly on loudspeaker and asked him to tone it down as I had calls to make. He then lifted his hands to hit me, and then abused me verbally and threatened to do something(1)
He then tried hitting me again cause I refused to listen to him abusing me. He then tried to speed away. I protected myself by pulling on the handbrake. God knows what would’ve happened if I didn’t. He then abused me in Hindi and Kannada. I managed to open the door and escape (2)
I’m sick of @Uber’s ways of dealing with this situation. An apology and refund doesn’t guarantee women’s safety at all. I’m scared and honestly shaken at this point. Broad daylight in Ulsoor and I luckily got away. What if? @BlrCityPolice Cab No: KA50A3135

1/x Today a CFTC official suggested that devs may be liable for crimes committed using their code (suggested & predicted by @angela_walch.) Now comes the collision of (1) First Amendment rights -code is free speech (2) contract (disclaimers in licenses) & (3) imposed tort duties.
2/x the language used "reasonably foresee" is suggestive of tort liability. This puts it in @angela_walch's wheelhouse. How does this shake out? Who wins? Think about this as a fire and a doctor. What's that mean? You can't yell fire in a crowded theater because it's reasonably
3/x foreseeable that people will be hurt in the ensuing rush. So we know if there's an inherent risk of harming others, 1st amendment speech rights may be curtailed. But what about the contract- i.e. the license agreement? Most #crypto software dev is done under #OpenSource

The #uber / bitcoin story out of Argentina is interesting.

Censorship resistance meets the mainstream.
People are going to start realizing, having a little #bitcoin, in your own possession, is a good idea.

There's a whole lot of buzz about the #sharingeconomy. Many seem to think it is something new, with some calling for a 'new economics' to explain it while others deride the 'gig economy' as a higher level of exploitation, inequality, and poverty. Neither is a good analysis.
First things firs: the sharing economy was facilitated by advances in technology alongside consumer preferences changing from goods to services and thus from ownership to lease. These are not separate processes, but mutually constituting changes where each increases the other.
The advances in technology that brought about the sharing economy are those that allow for cheaper, faster, and more accurate communication, verification of factual claims, decentralized corroborated trust/reputation etc. They overall lower transaction costs by making information

Why were these black students refused a ride by @Uber? And why hasn't #FakeNewsCNN or anyone else in the liberal MSM covered this? Where is @AC360 @donlemon @Acosta @maddow @ChrisCuomo or #BLM? Where is the outrage? Clearly, this is and was discrimination. ##WalkAway
I guess this isn't part of the narrative #FakenewsMedia wants to cover. Time for black folks to #WalkAway. Any discrimination on any level is wrong and must be addressed. Don't let this story die. #WalkAway
Liberal MSM is more concerned about illegal aliens being refused services than taxpaying black citizens being denied services. This is horrible. #WalkAway

1/ People in the Taxi and Private Hire trades need to put their Champagne on ice. The current ECJ ruling on Uber as a Transport Company means very little, if any change in the England and Wales. #Uber
2/ Uber May well have to withdraw from certain European cities where they will no longer be competitive . Instead they could switch investment and focus to England and Wales.
3/ Given all their legal issues in England. Uber will make full use of any appeals process. In London this could take several years. Many Private Hire Operators will be forced out of business in that time.
