1. In Decemeber, Facebook pledged to remove ANY content with misleading information about how to participate in the Census.

Now, the Trump campaign is running 1000+ Facebook ads promoting a fake 2020 Census

Gupta tells me that the Trump ads clearly violate Facebook's policy and the company has "a civic obligation" to remove the ads

During a worldwide pandemic creating ongoing economic shock Trump ACCIDENTALLY ANNOUNCED A BAN OF CARGO SHIPMENTS FROM EUROPE

This is an absolute circus.

Trump also said that the travel restrictions from Europe go into effect at midnight on Friday. But actually they go into effect at 11:59 PM on Friday.

The policy is dysfunctional but Trump also screwed up this statement is numerous ways. Which is exactly what you don't want.
Trump also didn't make clear that the ban did not apply to US citizens. I immediately texted a friend who is traveling in Europe as I was watching because I figured they needed to make plans to come home immediately.

Let me just say that suspending travel from Europe for 30 days makes very little sense.

The issue is that the virus is spreading WITHIN THE US, undetected, because we have not created a functional testing system
I'll be curious what experts have to say on this. But I have not seen any recommending this kind of step. Canada did not impose restrictions on travel from China but is doing much better because of adequate TESTING.
This is what happens when you have Stephen Miller, who has not medical expertise but is a raging xenophobe, writing your speech to the nation

1. The catastrophic management of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States is ongoing.

Pence has spent days touting the MILLIONS of tests being sent to labs.

But apparently no one realized you need an RNA extraction kit to perform the tests!

Now there is a shortage.
2. So that's why there have still only been a few thousand tests conducted.

I've obtained an email sent on behalf of a Boston-area hospital to the entire Harvard Medical faculty, begging them to send any RNA kits they have on hand

The US is the wealthiest country in the world.
3. Pence has demonstrated he's not up to this job.

The main supplier of RNA extraction kits is backordered because other countries bought them out first.
