1. The catastrophic management of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States is ongoing.

Pence has spent days touting the MILLIONS of tests being sent to labs.

But apparently no one realized you need an RNA extraction kit to perform the tests!

Now there is a shortage.
2. So that's why there have still only been a few thousand tests conducted.

I've obtained an email sent on behalf of a Boston-area hospital to the entire Harvard Medical faculty, begging them to send any RNA kits they have on hand

The US is the wealthiest country in the world.
3. Pence has demonstrated he's not up to this job.

The main supplier of RNA extraction kits is backordered because other countries bought them out first.

In the voicemail, Meyer praises them for "showing up" during this "busy time." There is no mention of taking time to look out for their own health and safety.

UPDATE: On Sunday, I reported @Kroger didn't provide paid sick leave to all its workers

Today, Kroger responded, saying my reporting "only serves to divide people at a time when we should all be pulling together to manage this public health crisis"

I care about @Kroger workers and am reporting accurately on their working conditions.

Update: The number of #coronavirus cases in the United States just doubled in 2 days. Bigger spikes are coming. We went from 100 detected cases to 1000 in a little over a week. In another week, we'll be at 10,000. There could be 60,000 in Washington State by May.
I’m not panicking. Or stockpiling. But I do wash my hands constantly. And try to avoid touching my face. I've canceled all events in March & April. May isn't looking good either.
Testing has improved, but it’s nowhere close to what it needs to be. People from all over the country reach out because they’re terrified they could be spreading the virus. But they can’t know for sure because they can’t get tested.
