The #FISA Court proposed changes are entirely inadequate.
1) they ignore the obviously intentional misconduct by several #FBI officers, including changed documents;
2) the FISC changes would not prevent, identify or mitigate such behavior;
3) thus far, there appears to be no
legal consequences of such behavior, and the court offers none; or review of the #FBI’s inadequate punishment;
4) public lack of confidence in #FISA is based on abuse, lack of accountability, deliberate lies (“failures of candor”), mistakes & leaks — but nothing in the changes
appears to hold the officers and system to the same level of accountability as regular U.S cits are held to, and certainly not the heightened level expected of federal law enforcement.

The #FISC simply doesn’t get it. @RandPaul

The @JusticeOIG flagged #FISAabuse in the wiretapping of @CarterWPage. The #FISA Court and #DOJ have determined that at least 2 of the 4 wiretaps against Page were improper and are invalid.

Looks like the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court has decided to create a separate investigation into the FBI lawyer (allegedly Clinesmith) who falsified evidence for the FISA.
This looks at the process & errors & how to correct them not the intentional misconduct.
The FISC has also spun off another separate investigation into the government's "handling and disposition" of any spying conducted under the @carterwpage FISA.

Many will miss that these 2 issues have spun off new court inquiries & will assume nothing is happening...

@Comey's is the greasy slimey misdirection of the guilty. The FISA Court AUTHORIZED or APPROVED the surveillance; if an application or request from the #ObamaDOJ or the #ObamaFBI had not instigated it, there would have been no FISA surveillance.
@Comey can't wash the stain of his grotesquely anti-American conduct off his hands, and he surely cannot succeed in attempting to deflect responsibility to the #FISA #Court.
