Let me use this tweet about medical training to explain, yet again, how corruption is destroying our education and professional training.

THREAD.
To understand how the system works, you have to understand some theory. Yes, that word which parasite sector and government have made the devil incarnate of education.

By the time I finish this thread, you'll see why they hate theory so much.
Theory is very simple. It's a narrative about patterns. Theory explains how things are related to one another, and how each event will happen together with another event in whichever sector you go. So this theory applies to health, #CBC, unis, anywhere there is a social service.
This is the theory that was best explained by Rev William Barber, the crusader against poverty in the US.
Parasite sector has invaded public social services because they've realized that the money government pays for those services is more than pirate sector can ever, ever make from offering those services as a private business. They use economists as propaganda tools to hide this.
The system works like this:

1. Parasite sector looks at government as assets, real estate and market. So when parasites looked at @KNH_hospital, they didn't see a hospital like you decent wananchi. They saw prime land worth billions, and the market of Nairobi hospital.
When Kenyans would run out of money and leave Nairobi hospital to finish treatment at KNH, what do you decent Kenyans see? A broken healthcare system and why commercial helthcare doesn't work. But what did the parasites on the board see? A business opportunity.
The parasites on KNH board thought like hawkers who all offer the same goods next to each other. So they told themselves: instead of those people running away from NH being treated here by KNH staff, let's build a private hospital where they can go.
"The private hospital on public land will will offer NH level facilities but at a cheaper cost. Why? Because we use public land so we don't have to buy land, and we can later use publicly trained medics who will be paid by the tax payers, not us."

Social cost, private profit.
With publicly owned land and buildings, this parasitism is clear. But what about people?

The principle works the same. Parasite sector doesn't see us as people who need education and healthcare, the way we see ourselves. When we demand those services, the parasites go
We all know that our politicians and bureaucrats are hopelessly clueless. They don't know how to offer those services to more demanding Kenyans. So parasites approach them with this deal.
Let's split the Kenyan public into two. The 3% can pay put of pocket for luxury services. The rest can attend substandard services at a lower cost paid by GoK, but the money will not go directly to government facilities. It will be paid to private facilities by government.
That way, we parasites free you politicians from worrying about actual provision of services. You can concentrate on dancing at rallies, distracting Kenyans with PR like #bbireport, and every time Kenyans ask about services, you pump more money into NHIF or textbooks. Aka, to us.
And if the privatized public service gives substandard services, like Nairobi Women's or in medical training, send "quality assurance" inspections to the institutions, give each of them meaningless scores, release a public statement that they met the criteria to offer training.
"And the advantage of these inspections is that you set up parastatals and have more opportunities to employ your relatives to eat."

That's why Kenya has almost 300 parastatals. We are over inspected by people who should do the work, not inspect us doing it.
I have to add here that the people who facilitate this corruption are PhD holders. Any time you see another Dr. Someone being appointed into GoK, don't congratulate them. Call them what they are: parasites. They should be teaching and treating, not barking rules at those who do.
If this story is making you do this, don't worry. That's how it's designed.
That how parasites steal. They make the process of theft so complex precisely so that you give up understanding it and let them steal anyway.

So rule number 2: if you can't understand the system, it's probably because a heist is happening under your very nose.
So back to that inspection of medical schools bla bla bla.

Inspections are a cover up for a substandard system. They rely on you, the public, saying that if GoK has said it, it's legit. The PR people call that brand strength.

GoK has a strong brand but offers no substance.
This is the second theory, in addition to the privatization one, that you must always apply to understanding GoK: #allgovernmentslie.

Now go apply these theories to NHIF, CBC, inspections, KNH-PPP, education, any sector in Kenya. You will see many lies right under your nose.
That's why GoK, parasites and media keep telling you that we graduates are useless because we study only theory. We do study many other things, and I'm proud to say that theory is one of them.

The oppressors know the power of theory. So should you. Use it.
