So in relationships, it’s sometimes when one side realizes that their partner has been gaslighting them that finally brings everything to an end.

The Democratic Establishment is gaslighting us and has been for some time.
I keep hearing “irreconcilable differences” in my head and it’s not about me and my wife. We good.
We’re like: we can get rid of trump and do Medicare for all and help the working class.

Democrats are like: nah, let’s just get rid of Trump even if that means losing to Trump with Biden?🥴

I love that we’re in the middle of a massive gaslighting campaign where we’re being told to be responsible for every random account that says something nasty while actual factual Biden surrogates are white-splaining MLK to Nina Turner.
Civility is the tool of the powerful to equate their loss of power to the victims of their power.
Strip their arguments to the bone and expose how bereft of any substance these takes are.

Black voters in primaries are super voters and are always considered the backbone of the Democratic Party. Many of them are solidly in or in proximity to the literal establishment.

Our older, southern voters are very conservative. But there are also clear class divisions
Before I get to the class divisions, the game being played by Biden and his surrogates is to insulate the establishment from criticisms with their firewall because their bet is that you won’t critique black voters.

Nah. We’re not playing that game in the year of our lord 2020
Our elders aren’t always right.

Met Clyburn this weekend. Great man. Love and respect for him, but he’s absolutely wrong about “free stuff.” He’s been wrong about that as the day is long.

He doesn’t represent Black America. He represents southern, conservative black America.

#democratic primary: It's 12/1 and just over 2 months to the IA caucuses. So what the heck is going on in this primary that's being conducted in the middle of a constitutional crisis? Well, the bottom line is that young voters are steadier in their preferences than older voters.
Taking @surveyusa polling from Aug-Nov, we see that the 18-34 vote has barely moved for Warren (-1), Pete (+1), Biden (+2) and Harris (-1). For Bernie, there was a big drop of -10 from Aug to Sept, but has since stabilized at 35, highest of any candidate in that demo.
Among 35-49 voters, since Aug, Liz is +2, Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Joe (-5) and Harris (-4). Among 50-64 voters: Warren (+2), Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Biden (-4), Harris (-5). Among 65+: Warren (-13), Pete (+7), Bernie (+2), Joe (-4), Harris (-5).

in any event that i do, the majority of my interactions are fine. a few will be outstandingly positive, inspiring, affirming, motivating & make me want to shout with joy. and like 1-2 people will just be awful and upsetting.

i try. SO HARD. to focus on the middle group.
it's hard sometimes. literally one person doing something really inappropriate makes me have extreme reactions. i walk away at the end of the night thinking, "i'm never doing another talk, writing another book, or speaking to another stranger. ever."
anyway that's just a little aimless complaint. don't worry i'm fine!!!!*

*still inevitably going to end up a recluse living in the woods who only communicates via post-it notes inserted into a bottle and dropped into the river
