Why I poke job goers every Monday!

#MondayMotivation
#Jobs

(1/16)
This response, as expected, was not a typical normal distribution. It was skewed to one side, eliciting the fact that most of us do not enjoy most of what we end up doing in our jobs...exactly like me!

The main reasons we keep doing this is because of:
1) Money
2) Herd Mentality
3) Hedonistic lifestyles

If you're working for money, probably you've no choice, but to go through the grind...the risks of other options are not worth.
However, I noticed that a lot of people think, they're working for money, but they're not! They had enough savings, they just kept trudging for the latter two reasons, without realising it.

Now, there's no problem if you are enjoying your job. But, if you're like most of the people who responded to the survey, then you're probably dragging yourself to work every Monday....like I was!
Every Monday morning, I would question myself - "Why am I doing what I'm doing?" The deeper thoughts increasingly pointed towards the 2nd option (in my case). I was doing this, just because everyone around me, my Boss, Boss's Boss, Boss's Boss's Boss was doing this!

I transmuted this sinking Monday Feeling into #MondayMotivation . I planned every move of mine towards #FinancialFreedom - savings, investments, living within means. Because life is short, and time is limited, and it was slipping away!
Most of my ex colleagues, while they appreciate, admire and envy my move, do not have the cojones to take the leap of faith. (with the exception of my Boss, who also quit an year after I; and is virtually on a world tour since then 🤗. { more on my Boss, in a separate Tweet})
It is very difficult to give yourself an escape velocity, if you are not enjoying what you're doing. I had to do a lot to motivate myself. I checked & rechecked my 'back of envelop' calculations, followed by excel calculations. I read motivational books, FF books..

followed people, who had set precedence, calculated the downside, explained ithem to my wife and finally drew a #LineInTheSand, by deciding on a date. I had lived & rehearsed this day, so many times, that I had to make no special effort on that day; it just came with a flow.
Back to the moot point, Why I poke job goers every Monday?

Because, if you're like me, not enjoying it, still trudging your way through the grind because of the latter two reasons (Tweet#4), then I take this smallest possible step to inspire you....
To inspire you to live, to live deliberately, out in the wild...call your own shots...not be a slave to your schedule...follow your heart...live a fulfilling life...be with the people you love...to enjoy your wealth, not just be rich...

to breathe in fresh air, not in air conditioned cubicles...to observe trees, not power-point charts, to move against the traffic, to visit malls/restaurants on weekdays and office streets on weekends!

"The day you stop racing, is the day you win the race." - Bob Marley
"I have spent my whole life scared. Frightened of things that could happen, might happen. Fifty years I spent like that. Finding myself awake at 3 in the morning. But you know what? Ever since my diagnosis, I sleep just fine...
I came to realise that it’s that fear that’s the worst of it. That’s the real enemy. So get up, get out in the real world and you kick that bastard as hard as you can right in the teeth." - Walter White, Breaking Bad
