X : What's happening with Map Camp London this year? I need to book my travel.
Me : Map Camp "London" will be happening on the 13th October. We have a great core set of keynote speakers and will put up a CFP soon ... but ... I say "London" because we're going all online.

For reasons of social responsibility and safety, I take the view that at this point in time it is prudent and sensible to plan for an online event. Which is what we will do. We want to support the mapping community and not put it in harms way.
X : Will you be speaking at Map Camp? Bandwidth?
Me : Ah, yes ... I have Fibre to the Cabinet (FttC) provided by BT which means I get crappy speeds of about 11 Mb/s. This isn't South Korea or China you know, this is the UK. BT has been rent extracting on copper for far too long.
