I do love the comments on this thread. It's as if people haven't realised what "delay" means. We're not containing anymore, this is "managed" progression of the virus through the majority of the population. Cattle immunity or Herd or whatever makes you feel comfortable ->
I do find there is an upside. As bizarre as it seems and as much as I disagree with the approach, at least we now have an approach rather than uncertainty. I will (as with most of the UK) contract COVID-19, I will roll the dice and may the odds be forever in your favour.
But now, we can just move on. The advice from Government takes a different form. This is not about stopping, it's about managing. It makes more sense ... well ... maybe sense is the wrong word but at least it has clarity.
