10 days into Swine, the death rate was 6% which is way worse than what Corona is said to be. No one sane double counted that "Wo. Death rate is 6% so if this spreads worse than the flu 50 million Americans will get it and 3 million (6%) will die. In the end,
60 mill in the US got Swine Flu which is above the high end of regular flu cases, but deaths were 12,500 which is a 0.02% rate (lower than regular flu cases). There is no data that Corona is 2-3 times worse-than-flu contagion and also 10 times deadlier. It's either or! Not both!
The CDC's first test vaccine for Swine was in August 2009; four months into the outbreak. The world was not on hold for four months with "OMG THE DEATH RATE IS HIGH AND IT IS ALSO VERY CONTAGIOUS SO MILLIONS ARE DYING IF WE DON'T GO INTO LOCK DOWN." Anyway, prepare/be calm.
