Turns out the Bengaluru Coronavirus victim’s wife didn’t exactly “flee” to Agra (see pic). This was misreported.

I feel for the family. Can only imagine what they must have gone through given all the hate they received in these trying times.

▪️How did the reporters get Agra COVID-19 girl’s story wrong?

1. The “health official” in Agra misled them with wrong data.

2. Reporters took it at face-value without confirming it with the girl’s family.

3. The Public just went on to outrage.

All of us guilty: INSENSITIVITY.
So, now there’s an FIR against the said girl.

▪️You can still communicate & be in touch with family & friends.

Masses need to be helped in addressing fear.
A factual Ad-campaign showing COVID-19 quarantine facilities & clearly listing what it’s like to be in quarantine for those suspected/detected.

▪️Regional Media needs to play a vital role here. Putting out data is important but also educating the masses about social distancing++
Many feel scared, suffocated and perhaps even claustrophobic even at the thought of 🔺quarantine🔺

Let’s work on this. Have a guide out on how to manage & conduct during self/medical-quarantine.

On 1.08.2019 a MAHA Cdr IPS Officer sought Voluntary Retirement citing “personal reasons”.

On 25.10.2019 the MHA rejects it.

And conveniently on 12.12.2019 he calls it his last day at work citing “civil disobedience” & CAB as a reason.

What gives?🤷🏻‍♂️
For those wondering where did he mention CAB & the works. Here👇🏻
➖You don’t like the bill — fine.
➖You want to protest — fine. It’s your constitutional right.
➖You don’t like the direction in which India is headed — fine. Democracy.

But why link your resignation, which was due to personal reasons, suddenly & conveniently to CAB et al?

What is happening (And Why)

So usually with viruses in recent memory, they just seemed to come up in the news but quickly blow over, like with Avian flu in 2007 (H5N1), or the Ebola Outbreak in 2014 - 2016.

But apparently this was largely because they were stopped early

Day 8 in bed ill - a timeline:

Sat 29th - arrive back in London from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia trip. No health checks at Heathrow. Temperature screening station unmanned.

Tues 2nd - getting a runny nose, headache and mild cough. Temperature of 39.8c. Self isolate.
Wed 3rd - 00.30 start getting a fever and by 4am temperature is 40.5c

05:00 call NHS111, poor UX on automated system but go through to a call who clearly didn’t know procedure. Promised a call back.
11:00 Receive a call from NHS111 repeat all information including travel and fact partner is a school teacher. Explain cough is mild 3/10 and not very dry. Told it’s just flu and no need to self isolate.

11:30 Get a call back - checking cough has phlegm in it - a little.

First check to see if they bothered to add any variability whatsoever in the model they are using to supposedly report actual numbers from a complex system.

The mortality rate they want you to report is the - 0 day rate: Today's Confirmed Death total minus Today's Confirmed Case total.

This has not varied outside of 1/10th of 1% in the last 5 prints.
