The people who voted for something that left us with fewer doctors/nurses than we would have had, just before a deadly pandemic where we're going to be short on doctors/nurses, don't get to complain that those who warned against it, are pointing that out.

Saying now's not the time to talk about Brexit weakening the NHS during #covidー19uk is like saying you can't talk about gun laws after mass-shootings.

The effects of Brexit will be negotiated THIS YEAR. Not talking about the CLEAR EVIDENCE of what's at stake would be STUPID!
2015-2019: Remainers are acting like people will die because of Brexit. It's all project fear.
2020: Remainers need to shut up because people are dying.

This year the government is negotiating our ability to bring in medical supplies and staff. How could we NOT talk about it!

Every time you say Brexit is "done" even though we still don't know what relationship with the EU is going to replace the membership you voted to end, you're telling me you don't understand brexit.
Every time you say #Covid19uk has nothing to do with Brexit, even though 1/3 the food on the shelves we're struggling to fill comes from the EU, and EU immigration helps our doctor-patient ratio meaning more will die if we're short, you're telling me you don't understand Brexit.
Every time you say "Leave it for now; we'll deal with Brexit after #Covid19uk", even though the pandemic is set to last until AFTER the deadline for the Brexit negotiations that determine our access to food, medicines & doctors, you're telling me you don't understand Brexit.

Has the clock stopped on Brexit because of Coronavirus?

Or is it still the case that if a deal isn't done by December, we become the only country on the planet with no trade deals, at a time when the supply of food and medicines might be more crucial than ever in our history?
So to those saying stop talking about Brexit:

We keep hearing that the UK's key vulnerability in dealing with #Covid_19 is NHS Staffing.

Given that before 2016, EU citizens made up 5.5% of the population but 7% of our nurses and 10% of our doctors, so my question is... what the hell happened in 2016!?

It's almost as if telling a group of people who statistically keep this country alive (EU citizens are more likely to be doctors & nurses than Brits) that we think they're worth nothing more than points in a system...

It's extremely important that these kids have food security, and their working parents will need financial and other support, once the schools close. But keeping schools open in the face of this deadly #pandemic is truly foolish.

Dozens infected in the #Covid19 outbreak worked in a Wuhan animal market, but tests of #coronavirus samples from the market have yet to identify a source. The close proximity of shoppers to animals in wet markets has made them breeding grounds for zoonotic diseases in the past.

The "new right"'s infatuation with immigration and nonwhite pandering is incredibly illogical and a losing strategy. 2/3 of LEGAL immigrants vote Democrat. It’s not discussed enough here, LEGAL immigrants vote Democrat overwhelmingly. We take in more immigrants than any country.
The argument for mass legal immigration is nonsensical. Mass-immigration increases our GDP, which helps CEOs and wealthy investors, it doesn't help the average person who has to compete with immigrant labor.
Look at H-1B where Americans get scrapped for cheaper (less effective) immigrant import. What do middle/lower class Americans gain from immigration at our level? Wages go down/stagnate, immigrants are on welfare at higher levels than native-born citizens,

I represented the Irish party at the European Federation of GPs and edited what we laughingly called its theoretical journal.
I also spent a year in the French party and, more interestingly, on the far left of the German party. I thought the Irish party had the potential to become a party of and for #SocialMovements. I found I was wrong, and left.
