a big jump in numbers occurred on that day. This didn't change anything about the current situation just gave us more data of the scale of the outbreak. The infection didn't spread rapidly over night but if you looked at the numbers out of context it appeared too.
Dr. Brix stated this will occur this week as more testing comes online. The numbers will shoot up but it will not mean that the virus is spreading faster, it will just mean we have more data on those currently infected.
