I repeat: There is currently a man sitting in a cage. In Brooklyn Criminal Court. Arrested on a warrant. For drinking in public. Held for hours. Waiting now for a Spanish interpreter to see a judge. Why is NYPD arresting people for this garbage ever, but especially right now?
There is another man that just was seen by a judge in Brooklyn Criminal Court. Arrested at 12:48am this morning. Charged w/ "obstructing government administration" for moving between subway cars & not obeying an order. 24 hours caged. Dismissal. Why did prosecutors even charge?
