2) If you think EU political leadership is lousy - were you someone who actually argued to improve it? Yes von der Leyen or Michel or Lagarde probably aren’t the people you want - but they’re a product of the system.
3) If you think EU countries are not showing enough solidarity to each other - have you looked at who’s in control? The centre right controls more governments than the left does. Are these parties going to show solidarity? Dream on
4) Is closing borders wrong? Perhaps. But if healthcare is a national competence (and for decades everyone’s been bemoaning over-reach of the EU’s powers) then that’s what you get when a health crisis breaks out
Don’t get me wrong - there are major deficiencies in both the EU response, and EU countries’ behaviour towards each other.
But if you put in poor leaders through a grubby back room deal, don’t give EU much budget, and vote in right wingers *that’s what you get*.
