New polling on media attention and #covid-19 from YouGov and The Economist:

Overall, 47% of Americans believe this theory is "definitely" or "probably" true.

Similar findings in new data from the Pew Research Center.

- 31% of Fox News viewers believe covid-19 was developed in a laboratory
- 44% say Democrats have greatly exaggerated the risks
- 56% say the media have greatly exaggerated the risks
