Ask y do people go bankrupt in India paying for healthcare frm their own pockets. Ask y there is such a shortage of doctors n nurses n hospitals here.

The whole world is learning the meaning of staying home for prolonged periods of time. For a lot of them, it will give them time to familiarize with new technology they haven't needed before. Prediction thread.
I expect the rise of VR (which is sold out everywhere), Streaming services, Food Delivery start ups (especially the autonomous ones).
Meditation apps will start selling more for sure, as most likely apps in general.
Technology stocks will quickly re-bounce, as the whole world will come to rely *even* more on the likes of AWS, Google Cloud and other big tech. Social media will be even more prevalent.

Lots of talk about the expected surge in ICU and hosp beds with #COVID. I’ve been hearing about reducing elective case burden (great thread from @ajaykirtane about that). We should also be rethinking our hospital approach to conditions that will continue in the covid era 1/n
Most obvious is with #STEMI care. If your hospital doesn’t have an ED bypass protocol for stemis - probably a good time to develop one. Ours at @VHC_Hospital has 1 min pitstop in ed w ems txp to cath lab - less pt exposure time to ED and less burden on ED resources 2/n
Also with #STEMI care - No icu for stable pts w normal EF should be standard. For most of these pts ICU is not necc and creates unneeded exposure for pt and occupies much needed ICU beds. (I think @agtruesdell had a great thread on this a while back) 3/n

El tapabocas quirúrgico que vemos en todas las series de TV, NO filtra partículas virales de fuera (el ambiente) hacia dentro (ustedes).
Ese tapabocas fue registrado por uso por primera vez, por el Dr. Berger, en Paris, en 1897. Su causa de uso: tratar de disminuir las infecciones en pacientes en quirófano previniendo que los médicos y personal, contaminaran al paciente abierto (campo quirúrgico).

The media (which now includes @FoxNews, @ABC, @NBCNews, @CBSNews, @TheView, @CNN, etc) have been putting “medical experts” on every show telling you that “PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BUY N95 MASKS”

They then say N95 masks are of no use to “laypeople” (read: YOU)

They then follow in the next sentence that citizens buying N95 masks prevent medical professionals from being able to buy N95 masks.

The news media is lying to you so you DO NOT want to buy N95 masks.

N95 masks DO WORK! They just don’t want YOU to own them!!!!!

Medical professionals get their N95 from major medical product suppliers IN BULK.

Hospitals are NOT buying N95 masks from Walgreens and CVS, I assure you.

The news media to dissuading folks from purchasing proper PPE is inappropriate!

Fascinating CA6 opinion today holding that chalking a tire for parking enforcement -- to see if the car had been there a while in violation of parking rules -- violates the 4th Amendment. Not sure where I come out on it, but fun issue. Here's a thread. opn.ca6.uscourts.gov/opinions.pdf/1… #N
The court first reasons that the chalking is a Jones trespass, which the court, without analysis, says is determined by a common law trespass test as interpreted by the Restatement 2nd of Torts.
The court then says the trespass was done "to obtain information," as required by Jones, b/c the purpose of chalking is to find out what cars haven't been moved.
