This is why having manufacturing on national soil matters bigly. You need nimble responsiveness and you can only get that with local factories. Now the question: where’s the material made?

USA used to be a textile manufacturing powerhouse. Much of that has gone overseas due to lower labor costs.
We are still quite good at some things though: high tech knits (this is why USA made socks (VT & NC mostly) are so awesome) & performance fabrics like Polartec fleece (MA)

I am quite passionate about this topic, I’ve been a home sewer since my mom taught me how to use her sewing machine when I was in 3rd grade. Her 1978 made in USA Kenmore is still going strong. My ~2010 made in China Kenmore...isn’t.
