1n Since we’re at it, here’s a primer on Vidya Krishnan. She was consulting with PHFI, while simultaneously writing about it without disclosing a conflict of interest. This is the same PHFI that got its FCRA license suspended for lobbying. She claims their FCRA lost their license
2n for working with the @BMGFIndia - utter falsehood because Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation work with lots of NGOs who did not have their license suspended.

1n Seelampur & Jafrabad have been the epicentre of riots since December - only one community was doing the attacking. This thread collates all those old tweets from mid December 2019. DONT give me this crap it started 3 days back. Meanwhile the Supreme Court was sleeping.
2n On the 20th flag marches were conducted .... this was no peaceful place... people are just making this out as violence out of the blue. They want to suppress the fact that it has been a continuum of violence by ONE SINGLE COMMUNITY since December

3n 27th December things again escalated- remember this is all when Jamia blew up on 17th December and Seelampur was used as an “east of the Urals” safe zone to use a sovietism. Jamia was crushed so they started pretending to be peaceful at #ShaheenBagh

1n Just had a long chat with #GunjaKapoor @gunjakapoor. The reality is much scarier than what you saw on TV (yes she was mugged & physically assaulted). I’m telling you the sequence of events narrated by her. This woman in yellow “Upasana Sharma” is central to it
2n Gunja was interviewing the women at #ShaheenBagh. None of them seemed to know the details of #CAA_NRC_NPR they were protesting. Suddenly this “upasana” starts interrogating Gunja.. her first lines “I am a hindu, my name is upasana sharma, I am an organiser, who are you?”
3n “upasana” knew exactly what to ask & since Gunja hadn’t rehearsed her story got caught easily. Upasana & this creature below DRAGGED HER BY HER HAIR(!!!) to the 1st aid camp. “Upasana” seized her phone plus aadhar card & cash from her wallet. Now the other women...

First, a few philanthropy networks I benefit from:
1. @EDGEFunders Alliance (NOT the same as The Edge Fund!) is the global network for progressive philanthropy. They were the first donor space talking about Just Transition, Systemic Change, Participatory Grantmaking... They also run an ace deep-dive for funders, the GEL
2. @AriadneNetwork / @hrfunders are networks for human rights funders and have some great spaces for funders to share. They host a forum for participatory grantmaking (set up by @redumbrellafund ), plus a great new one on climate funding (set up by the great @GreengrantsFund UK)
