1n Just had a long chat with #GunjaKapoor @gunjakapoor. The reality is much scarier than what you saw on TV (yes she was mugged & physically assaulted). I’m telling you the sequence of events narrated by her. This woman in yellow “Upasana Sharma” is central to it 
2n Gunja was interviewing the women at #ShaheenBagh. None of them seemed to know the details of #CAA_NRC_NPR they were protesting. Suddenly this “upasana” starts interrogating Gunja.. her first lines “I am a hindu, my name is upasana sharma, I am an organiser, who are you?”
3n “upasana” knew exactly what to ask & since Gunja hadn’t rehearsed her story got caught easily. Upasana & this creature below DRAGGED HER BY HER HAIR(!!!) to the 1st aid camp. “Upasana” seized her phone plus aadhar card & cash from her wallet. Now the other women...
4n started heckling “you’ve disgraced the Burkha”. At the camp a man joined them. He started what turned into a full on mob “if you’ve worn the burkha just say the Kalima (la illah illallah) and become “one of us... we’ll accept you”. They tried to CONVERT HER!!! She refused...
5n By this time this thief, assaulted & hostage taker “upasana” had checked her name & found her to be a BJP sympathiser. The attempts to force her to say the Kalima only got stronger at this point - and she was shoved, slapped & had her hair pulled. “Upasana” now wanted this
6n to develop into a hostage situation. The guy agreed with her saying (in Hindi) “now call the BJP guys, they’ll have no option but to negotiate with us”. That’s where things stood were it not for @DelhiPolice who were monitoring social media. The #ShaheenBagh cops don’t arrest
7n because then the terrorists gherao the station. So they had to send someone from Sarita Vihar station. The organisers refused to hand her over. This obviously is a CLEAR CUT CASE OF KIDNAPPING & HOSTAGE TAKING. This “hatta gatta” jaat lady cop tried twice to force her way in
8n but was PUSHED BACK!!! Can you imagine? This was when the police decided to threaten a lathi charge. Gunja distinctly remembers the Man there saying “if they lathi charge that’ll be the end of the protest”. This is when their little hostage taking/blackmail drama ended....
9n Even here she wasn’t simply allowed to go. Some of “upasana”’s gang also pinched her viciously & tried holding her back because they wanted the hostage situation to continue.
10n Understand what happened here
1) repeated physical assault

4) kidnapping

All of which are punishable by years in jail. Not to mention how her phone & aadhar will be misused @DelhiPolice

11n finally a lot of people are digging up her tweets & attributing motives. I’ve known her & been her friend through her AAP & INC phases. The earliest conversation I remember was from 2016 & through that period she was constantly abused in both parties for her HINDU beliefs
12n you want to focus on her public statements then, fine .. but also acknowledge she left both because she wasn’t going to stand for a viciously hinduphobic environment & finally also remember she refused to convert & say the kalima to save herself when surrounded by a lynch mob
13n btw here you have the woman was so keen to constantly identify herself as a “HINDU PROTEST ORGANISER UPASANA SHARMA” admitting (0.18) she has taken away @gunjakapoor’s Aadhar Card. Cc @DelhiPolice. I bet you not one “investigative jounalist” will verify “upasana”’s ID
14n btw guess when they figured out @gunjakapoor? They asked her “who sent you” & she replied “I came on my own”. That’s when they got suspicious. Why? Because nobody comes here without being “sent”. Also does this look like a “I am hindu” “Upasana Sharma” to you?
