The @CDCgov @WHO and @NSWHealth put personal hygiene as one of the major strategies to slow the spread of #COVIDー19
Here in Australia we have a nationwide shortage of ethanol and other ingredients to make hand sanitiser, hand wash, antibacterial wipes etc.
Last Thursday we mobilised at Atelier. We are a #cloudmanufacturing platform that virtualises manufacturing resources globally to make dynamic #supplychains to produce personal care products.
Within 36hrs we have put together 4 supply chains and put 20,000L in production already to get it to #australia to help solve #Coronaaustralia, but we can’t afford to buy more.
Bigger problem. The way markets work is supply rises to meet current demand, as businesses we try to predict future demand but in such an unpredictable time those projections become difficult especially w no coordination between orgs that need these products
Baseline — we are at the start of the acceleration of cases in #australia now and we have already run out of this stuff. What will we need in 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks?
Today, we have 14 working on solving. Devs to create a data capture for govt depts. Data scientists to create a predictive model of demand and supply resources. Supply chain teams and people getting in touch with govt.
But we need help to get this to the hospitals, aged care facilities, clinics etc that need it.

@drkerrynphelps Please read this thread and get in touch. There is a critical path to being on top of the emergency response for personal hygiene products in hospitals and the community. We are modelling this & have access to supply.
