Who are the people we need the most right now?

e.g. Grocery store workers, delivery people, others whose work is called “menial” - “unskilled” and undervalued.

This is a time to reassess what “value” “wealth” and “work” mean and whose benefits they serve.

If the worst pandemic in modern history does not force those questions, what will?

Who stocks the shelves that others hoard? Why can the latter and not the former “afford” to hoard?

Whose lives are “worth” saving and for what purpose?

We must ask those questions right now because Trump wants to get re-elected & the people with lots of money want to hold onto that money and fuck everyone else is the message they’re promoting.

The way forward is NOT to sacrifice lives for the “economy” #COVID19

Because you know that their concerns about the “economy” are not concerns that the grocery store workers make a living wage that reflect their importance to our lives & affords them the dignity all deserve.

Their concerns about the “economy” are concerns for the already wealthy

Remember: right after 9/11 George W. Bush told everyone to go shopping - for the “economy.”
