newsletter pointed out how NYT eagerly adopted GOP talking points and ran with Dems "block" aid narrative. (hint: they did not.)

now look at NYT headline tonight when GOP put brakes on the bill.

when GOP objects, it's just a passive case of nameless parties putting "stall" on bill

1. quick thread on what happens when press deems certain Trump topics to be out of bounds, even though his radical behavior has been out of bounds for years.

2. looking at Trump's complete and sweeping pandemic failure, it's increasingly difficult to suggest it's bc WH is disorganized or unfocused. There has to be more at play bc incompetence doesn't explain what's happening.

You heard harrowing intel and came out the other side with GOP talking points: 1) pretending Trump *has* a Ukraine foreign policy; 2) demanding to question Hunter Biden and the whistleblower; 3) buying Trump's 13,500th lie: that investigating *one company* is fighting corruption.
1/ This "Trump armed Ukraine" canard is not only contradicted *by his own words and actions*, which have *degraded Ukraine economically and militarily*, but by the fact that a) he changed the GOP platform in 2016 to block lethal aid, b) blocked lethal aid when Congress passed it.
2/ Any Republican who votes in favor of letting presidents secure illegal foreign election assistance by withholding official acts as long as {*checks notes*} "we weren't allowed to see if one of the witnesses spoke to Schiff's body man two days early" will be *shamed* in history

The data we have (from @VividSeats) is truly incredible. In every county, we have a record of the share of concert/etc ticket sales that fall into each genre in 2015/19. Here's that map (with each county scaled for population). Cities like rap/hip hop. Rural areas like country.
The music genre that most correlates with Republican vote share is, as you might expect, country music. A preference for "New Age" music (whatever that is) and Rock are also "red". Rap, Hip Hop & R&B, as mentioned, are "blue" music—as is liking alternative artists or Latin music.

It stuns me that people purporting to be Democrats or "resisters" are still devoting their time to attacking @RepAOC. This is such a blatant embrace of GOP talking points. If you don't like change, you're in the wrong party. And if you can't Google the work she's done, be quiet.
