My thoughts:
Since I dropped sugar and started IF, I had never suffered a flu but last December, there was an outbreak of a very bad flu that got me.
Though it never put me down but I felt it was not the common flu because people around me were really sick.
Corona outbreaks in China began early December.
Then 4 weeks later (January) the outbreaks were in Europe.
Do you want to tell me no Kenyan interacted with the infected in those countries?
Around December, there was an outbreak in Tanzania.
How many flights have we had from Europe in January?
How many Kenyans interacted with visitors from these countries?
Emotions aside, panic aside, let us be logical now.
A large number of Kenyans were infected, got sick and fought it off.
Our temperate environments helped suppress any large scale outbreak.
If mass testing is to be done today, I think not less than 50,000 Kenya will turn positive.
So, don't even panic.
Did we?
But...
Did we die?
So, when the prophets of doom said 'if corona lands in Africa, we shall all perish' , I just laughed it off.
Don't panic. Don't be scared.
We assumed it was a flu because we never thought of testing or assumed corona couldn't have been in Kenya.
Let us revisit this thread in June 2020.
Meanwhile. Don't panic. Be calm.
Life is back to normal.
I think 21 days from today, we shall go back to our normal lives.
I am hopeful all shall be well.
I encourage you to follow all @MOH_Kenya instructions.
- Stay safe.
- Personal sanitation.
- Respiratory hygiene.
- Exercise.
20 days from today, we shall be vindicated.
