[THREAD] In Dinagat Islands, COVID-19 is seen as a multi-dimensional issue.
It is primarily a public health issue, which is why our Provincial Health Office, together with the Provincial DOH and Municipal Health Officers are at the frontline.

It is a calamity, which is why the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office acts as the secretariat of our task force.
It concerns public awareness, which is why the Provincial Information Office (my office) is tasked to lead in information dissemination and countering fake news together with the Municipal Information Officers.
It has economic and social impacts, which is why the provincial offices of the DTI, DA, and DOLE, together with our Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Labor, Employment, and Manpower Office, Community Affairs Office, and Coop Devt Office are all part of the task force.
It is also a peace and order issue, which is why the PNP, BFP, and Coast Guard are assisting our efforts in the implementation of border control, curfews, etc, anchored on rights-based guidelines.
While Municipal Mayors issue orders in their respective jurisdictions, they are all guided by the Executive Order of Governor Kaka Bag-ao which sets the minimum standards and common regulations so that our efforts in the entire province are harmonized.
We conduct weekly Inter-Agency / Inter-LGU meetings where civil society organizations and business groups are present so that our initiatives are transparent and employ people's participation.
So far, we are the only province in the entire Caraga Region (XIII) that has ZERO patients under investigation (PUIs). We hope we can keep this up in the coming days and months.
