This is now up a notch in terms of #COVID19 detection.. Loss of smell & Loss of taste are REAL symptoms expressed by 2 individuals at 2 different ends of the Earth !!
First it was @rudygobert27 of @utahjazz.. prompting a shutdown of the @NBA #NBA .. 1/n
Then on our home front.. we have a young Malaysian returning from the UK with minimal symptoms except for Loss of smell & Loss of taste.. She was subsequently tested and was positive #COVID19 .. 2/n

Think of those people who have lost their income because we have no choice but to #StayAtHome .. 1/n
Think of those families who have no means to purchase items online simply because they are not able to financially and these will be same people who cannot order a Grab Food or Food Panda like many here can.. 2/n
Think of these people now will worry of their next meal and the next moment their landlord knocks on their door for the rent..
Think of the families who have to decide what to cook, unlike many of us who still have a fridge full of groceries all stocked up from days earlier.. 3/n

1st Wave cases from 25/1/2020.. till Case 25 on 28/2/2020
= ALL recovered, 100%. .. 1/n
2nd Wave #COVID19 cases from 29/2/2020 onwards from Case 26 + Case 33 Clusters.. identified & treated and most recovered.. (figure not given by MOH)
2nd Wave extends till 13/3/2020 until Case 158..

As confirmed by DG Dato Hisham in that Press Conference.. Tabligh #COVID19 cases were only known on 9/3/2020 after Brunei had their 1st case.. (Event was 28/2 - 1/3)

Tabligh Clusters start adding on from 14/3 onwards till the present total on 24/3 of 986

Just spoke w/ a surg resident from a major program where elective cases R cancelled but resident schedules haven’t been changed appropriately to address #COVID exposure concerns. This resident is expected to TRIPLE SCRUB a case in 2 days. How are people letting this happen? 1/8
As a intern w/ zero authoritative power, I’m incredibly thankful for our chief residents & fellows here @UMichSurgery who have taken it upon themselves to work with faculty & our dept leadership to address this crisis and it’s impact on our health system & day 2 day workforce 2/8
Services are limited 2 only essential “skeleton” team members, usually a chief/fellow + junior resident who round. Residents are not staffing clinics. Urgent/emergent cases are covered by level appropriate residents w/ care to minimize # of ppl in hospital at any given time 3/8

2/ taken to a room for temperature test no fever
went through a question list 4 symptom history，if i met anyone from high risk country China italy
i told them i was in Prague 4 film festival & met many people around world.
but seems they are about letting me go.
3/ airport medicals are calling authority to ask about my measurement，go home or stay for test maybe…
seems phones got difficulty to go through…
personally i wish to stay and have test asap.
but i need to respect their decision.

Clarification: The patchy opacities involving the upper, mid, and lower lung zones bilaterally are ground glass opacities, and do NOT represent necrosis.

This is extensive disease present, and #COVIDー19 can result in chronic lung injury to include fibrosis if not death first.
The following case study illustrates a case from China in a 46 year old male with ground glass opacities involving the bilateral lower lobes (A,B), with 2 day follow up imaging (C, D) with more extensive opacities, now involving right upper lobe as well as bilateral lower lobes.
