1/8 I intend through this thread to highlight that this crisis of #Covid19Zim is not from God but from the devil, it is evil and God does no evil for there is no evil in him. Everytime God is about to do something he makes a decree through his prophets.
2/8 Let us start with the rain in the time of Noah (Genesis 6). There was a clear warning by God which was also transmitted to the people that it is going to rain, not many believed him except his own family and indeed they were the only ones who survived the storm.
3/8 We then move next to Sodom and Gomorrah. In Genesis 18 God tells Abraham his plans to destroy the place and the father of faith intercedes for Lot his nephew. As the events were about to take place the angels told Lot who inturn delivered the news to his would be sons-in-law
4/8 They did not believe him and soon enough Lot left with his family and fire came down on the earth (Genesis 19). See, everytime God would surely warn before destruction happens and in all circumstances the saints are protected and saved.
5/8 When it is the devil who is doing it there is no warning at all. Check the issue of Job for example, it is noted that Job was an upright man who feared the Lord. When the plagues fell on him it was bad news after bad news without any warning.
6/8 The devil actually asked God to test Job and the Lord had to restrain him from utterly destroying him. Job only stood on his faith and what he knew about God. No warning at all
7/8 Finally the issue of Jonah the prophet to Ninevah. When the people were told that they were left with only 40 days before the Lord destroys the land they humbled themselves in sackcloth and ashes. They prayed for mercy and the Lord stayed his anger.
8/8 Rapture of the saints will precede the end time calamities. God will protect his people.
