Just got this in an email from the President. What you need to know is that America was the best prepared country in the world for a pandemic and also no one could have predicted this and the existing system was a disaster and outdated and needed to be rebuilt from scratch. 
I never stop being stunned by how little regard these people give to projecting even the semblance of consistency. I can't decide if it's lazy stupidity, or cynical brilliance.
As in, are they just as dumb as they think their supporters are, or do they take pleasure in throwing completely contradictory talking points out there knowing that their supporters will lap it all up and slobber for more? Like, do they get a domination rush from crap like this?
