Hello @DrTedros
I have to bring to your attention that there is a rising number of cases of atypical pneumonia in Mexico.
I am afraid that the Mexican government is lying (as is their custom), they can actually be COVID19 cases cover as another disease.

I know that you are busy with other matters right now, but it will be good for the sake of the whole world if @who and @UN can send a team to Mexico to investigate the matter further.
Currently and in addition to COVID19, Mexico has an outbreak of
measles and dengue fever is going to attack soon some states in Mexico, as Summer is just about to start.

The scenario is not good, not at all. I am not a medic but having two or three deadly deseases at the same time in a single country is going to
a total disaster, not only for Mexico but also for the world health.
The risk of having another strain of any of this viruses is high, given the fact that in Mexico people can get medicines without a prescription from a medical doctor.

By the way the information of the Mexican government is totally unreliable as they are not doing enough tests. Neither they care about testing their citizens for possible contagion.
So be careful about what they say, they just do not know the exact number of people
infected.
The biggest issue is that President Lopez, has been actually misinforming the people of Mexico about COVID19. Something that has been noticed by @hrw
hrw.org/news/2020/03/2…
As for the public health system in Mexico, we don't need to care about if it
collapses, because is already on bankruptcy. Lopez cut the budget of the health system to build:
I) an oil refinery in times when we have started to see negative oil prices.
II) a train that is actually a menace to the ecosystem in southeast Mexico.
III) an airport that no
airline is going to use as is not going to be safe.
Nowadays medics and nurses in Mexico are risking their life every time they go to work. Because they do not have appropriate protective gear to do their jobs.
This is happening in the whole public health system.
airline is going to use, because it lacks the security standards that it must had.
People in Mexico actually don't have a clear idea of what is coming with the pandemic. Other governments have a better understanding of what is coming in the next months. And is not good.
…
As well as the ambassador of Canada, both of them are urging their citizens to go back home.
As Mexico is not going to be able to cope with coronavirus in a proper and responsible way.
This is the message of @GClark_CA to the Canadian Citizens in Mexico.
Nobody can blame them, they know that the pandemic in Mexico is going to be a mess.
It was just yesterday night when the viceminister of minister of health warned the people to stay at home.
Is going to be to late considering the experience of Italy, Spain and the USA.
In the months to come the number of sick people in Mexico...
...will be counted not by thousands, but by millions with the obvious implications that this has.
Given the fact that Mexico has a high rate of obesity and diabetes.
Despite all this facts president Lopez keeps traveling around the country, this video was taken yesterday.
So @DrTedros this is going to have terrible consequences for Mexico. The @who and @UN must keep this in mind. As the Mexican government is has done an awful job already.
Yours trully,
Per Mexicum.
