My mother-law often makes us watch Z-World when she visits. I can tell you those moments are far more enjoyable than the time expended trying to endure the most impotent presidential speech in dire circumstances ever in the history of mankind. It was simply #Lifeless 🦠 
I focus more on the vulnerable in society because I have zero expectations from this admin as established long before they were stampeded to power in 2015. But this won’t affect my role as a citizen in Nigeria especially in the bid to ensure our children don’t inherit this chaos.

For all it’s worth I believe we should commend the handlers for the proof of life video that burnt twenty minutes of our lives without pretending to inspire hope or courage. Mr President, where can people with symptoms go in Abuja? When can everyone showing symptoms be tested?
What is the fate of the common man who is not captured on the APC’s hand kissing and shoe shining list of “most vulnerable in society?” As we approach an immediate and necessary lockdown in the highlighted states?! I guess the state Governors will be liable for the care? Yes?🤔
In this whole of this lame response behind the letters and script, the enlightened can see the glaring “Social Darwinism”—the theory that individuals, groups, and peoples are subject to the same Darwinian laws of natural selection as plants and animals. 🦠
However discredited this late 19th and early 20th centuries theory might be, as was used to justify political conservatism, imperialism, and racism and to discourage intervention & reform, to those stuck in the past, it is the fundamental ideology in their playbook. 🦠
Hope can never be given without sincere compassion and commitment to humanity. Nigerians don’t just need money. To buy what exactly under a lockdown? They need hope. They want to know what to do and where to go for help in case they exhibit symptoms. This is not too much to ask.
