Okay @Apple - how about releasing whatever new software update will enable our Apple watches to have built-in pulse oximeters RIGHT NOW, especially for those of us w/#Covid_19 measuring Sp02 levels at home to keep from overwhelming hospitals.
Many of us are on telemedicine calls with our primary care physicians at 2 in the morning, gulping air like a fish on the shore. We need to know whether we're above 95 or not, but the oximeter app on the iPhone doesn't seem all that accurate (93 one minute, 100 the next...)
And all of the oximeters available on @amazon are not available to arrive until April 15th at the earliest. Some of us need these readings IMMEDIATELY. Like, yesterday.
Is the issue @US_FDA regulations? If so, FDA, cut us some slack during a pandemic, please. We know Apple built in oximeter capabilities into the new watch -- 9to5mac.com/2020/03/08/app… --so allow us to have it, please. This capability will, I believe, ultimately save lives.
It's just another data point, and we need it to make critical decisions about calling 911 or not. Nebulizing or not. Also, for anyone reading this & struggling to breathe, I found listening to these Tibetan singing bowls last night at 3 AM helped: ...
You have to just accept that you're not going to get to the bottom of the breath. Ever. For now. Take whatever oxygen you can and try not to panic that it doesn't feel like enough. The panic makes it worse.
P.S. If you think you've lost the tiny plastic thingy in your nebulizer and start to have a panic attack in the middle of an I-have-no-air attack while blaming your partner for losing it, check underneath your butt. It's probably there.
