1/ It seems unimaginable that I keep hearing from medical professionals (meds) about their sub to little Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

It doesn't take much cost/benefit analysis to quantify the value of a med vs that of the PPE they're wearing...

2/ In a war, many would-be troops can sign up, go through boot camp and be on the battlefield in short order.

Not so with medical professionals

Schooling is costly and time consuming. But moreover, there's the actual desire to be one, which is much more rare (unfortunately)...
3/ I can understand many people are objecting to the cost of this battle relative to the mitigation of suffering and lives saved of the patients in need who are often much more advanced in age and/or disease status, generally speaking.

Set that aside for the moment...
4/ ..And recognize there's a less addressed resource being taxed right now that is much harder to justify for suffering and loss.

I keep hearing over and over again from these amazing people fully willing to put up with this lack of PPE to do what they feel they have to...
5/ But of course, they shouldn't have to! It's one thing to say we were unprepared and are anxiously catching up. It's another to find out the efforts to catch up have fallen so short.

I've talked to some on the manufacturing side who are frustrated with throughput chaos as well
6/ I'm not here to discuss policy decisions of the past, we can do that later -- let's change the now. Ramping up manufacture and prompt delivery of PPE is vital for meds across the country.

Let's make this happen!
